DRIFT
FAQ.

What the social network is, how its community features work, and what to expect from the member market.

What is DRIFT?

DRIFT is a social networking app for independent fashion, footwear, art, music, design and contemporary culture. It combines public discussion Rooms, member profiles, Traces, messages, saved discoveries and a member market.

Is DRIFT a social network?

Yes. Members can create profiles, follow people through Traces, publish Rooms, reply, react and message one another. The network is organized around shared cultural interests rather than a general-purpose feed.

Who is DRIFT for?

It is for collectors, makers, listeners, readers and independent sellers interested in fashion, footwear, art, music, design and culture. Selling is optional.

What is a Room?

A Room is a discussion built around a question, discovery or point of view. Selected Rooms are publicly previewable; an account is required to start a Room or participate.

What is a Trace?

A Trace is DRIFT's way to follow another member. Traces help members keep up with people whose perspective interests them.

Do I need an account?

You can read the public website and selected Room previews without an account. Create and confirm an account to publish, reply, save, Trace, message or use member-only market actions.

Can I use DRIFT in a browser?

Yes. The web app works in a modern browser and no download is required. Official mobile-store links will be added here when they are publicly available.

Does the member market take payments?

Current offers and reservations record a member's interest. They do not charge a payment or confirm a completed sale. Any sandbox checkout shown for testing is not a live transaction.

How do I sell an item?

Create and confirm an account, then submit a seller application in the app. DRIFT reviews the seller application and each submitted listing before publication.

How does community safety work?

Members agree to the community terms. Inside the app, members can report a concern and block another member. DRIFT may restrict content or accounts that violate the rules.

Who publishes DRIFT?

DRIFT SIG, INC., based in New York, publishes and operates DRIFT.

How do I delete my account?

A signed-in member can request deletion from the account area. A public account-deletion page also explains the process and support route.
